Core Courses

Lamar has two academic tracks available in English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies: Academic and Advanced. Lamar's Mathematics department offers these two tracks and an Accelerated track consisting of an Algebra 1 course for 7th and 8th graders. Seventh graders in Algebra I take Geometry in 8th grade.

Language Arts

Lamar Middle School's Language Arts teachers are Dani Brandimarte, Sarah Reyes, Kristin Aaron, Melanie Haupt, Peyton Robinson, and Enrique Montemayor.

Lamar also has a Yearbook teacher, Alissa Godina, who will be teaching students in this yearlong class.

Mathematics

Lamar’s Mathematics department offers these two tracks and an Accelerated track consisting of an Algebra I Honors course for 7th and 8th graders. Seventh graders in Algebra I take Geometry in 8th grade.

Lamar’s Math teachers are Ann Kestner, Alicia Roalson, Leticia Sanders, Shea Young, and Carolina Ramirez.

Science

The Lamar Middle School science teachers are Erika Pena-Montemayor, Tricia Ballee, Lindsey Streich, Autumn Torres, Joseph Sosa, Bianca Blaney, Anna Flores, and Sarah Perez.

Social Studies

The Social Studies teachers at Lamar are Travis Doolittle, Marie Evans, John Justice, Daniel Smith, Glenna Smith, and Ana Espinosa & Cesar Taboada (Dual Language SS) 

Languages Other Than English

Lamar offers Spanish I and II for non-Speakers, Spanish II, III, and IV for native or fluent Spanish Speakers, and French I and II.
